Milk Substitutes for Those Who Are Lactose Intolerant

I absolutely love milk. Because I drink this delicious, refreshing beverage every day, I couldn’t imagine my life without it. Unfortunately, some people are lactose intolerant. Therefore, they can’t safely drink traditional milk from a cow. Thankfully, many tasty substitutes to cow’s milk exist. Almond milk is one of my favorite alternative’s to cow’s milk. Many people also enjoy the texture and taste of soy milk, hazelnut milk, rice milk, coconut milk, and oat milk. On this blog, I hope you will discover the joy of specialty foods. Even if you or a friend can't enjoy the "real thing," there are plenty of foods left to enjoy.

Are You Planning An Elegant Dinner?

Do you have a special occasion to celebrate in the near future? Perhaps you are honoring your parents with a dinner for their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Or, it might be that you are hosting a birthday event. No matter the occasion, from ordering Russian Osetra caviar online for pre-dinner appetizers to planning the dinner menu, here are some ideas that might help you to plan a memorable and enjoyable event:

The Pre-dinner Appetizers

Of course, the number of guests at your elegant dinner may determine the appetizers you select. Whether you have a large group or a small group, think of serving Russian Osetra caviar. If you've ever tasted it in the past, you already know that it is exquisite in taste. If you have never tried Russian Osetra caviar, you are in for a real treat. Even though caviar is expensive, the way it is received by your guests will more than likely make you feel like that purchase was some of the best money you spent for the event.

Think of ways you can serve the caviar in order to extend it. For example, top little slices of cheese or delicate crackers with it before your guests arrive. Then arrange the cheese or the crackers on a large formal serving tray that also has things like grapes, melon balls, pineapple chunks, and dried fruits as part of the presentation. The great thing about Russian Osetra caviar is that it will complement all of the other appetizers you select.

The Dinner Menu

Will your elegant dinner be a seated one, or will guests go through a buffet and then take their plates to different seating areas? If it is a seated dinner, consider small filet mignon or chicken cordon blue along with sides like mashed potatoes and peas. If it is a buffet, consider an elegant chicken and rice casserole that doesn't require cutting and that includes vegetables as part of the recipe.

For dessert at a seated table, think of having both a rich chocolate cake and a white cake. For a buffet, think of serving fancy finger foods such as chocolate-covered strawberries or tiny cupcakes in different flavors. As guests leave the event, consider sending them home with a memento of the dinner party. For example, if you celebrated your parent's fiftieth anniversary, individually wrapped fancy cookies in the form of a wedding cake might be a great party favor.
